A Little Dab'll Do Yaby Bob HostetlerIf you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move (Matt. 17:20b). Several decades ago, a common advertisement was a television commercial for a hair product called "Dippity Do." The slogan boasted that "a little dab'll do ya." Jesus coined a similar slogan to His disciples on the subject of faith. He promised them that a mere dab of faith -- no larger than the nearly invisible mustard seed -- would be sufficient to move mountains from place to place, adding that nothing would be impossible to the man or woman who possesses such a "dab" of faith. It takes only a dab of faith to submit to the claims of Christ and experience His salvation. It takes only a dab of faith to bow before Him in prayer each day and submit our wills to His agenda. It takes only a dab of faith to surrender our problems and pride, our failures and victories to Him. But we will see mountain-moving results if we do that. When it comes to faith, a "little dab'll do it," because it is not the faith that performs great works. . .it is the Person in whom the faith is placed. Prayer: Lord, I believe; help my unbelief.
